Hydrotherapy

Ashton saw his SLC doctor 10 days ago and we got permission to pack up the wheel chair and try to gradually get back to walking and light activities.  His doctor recommended he start swimming so we've gone to the local recreation center for lap swimming and Ashton is giving it his all. His leg has healed from the surgery, but his hip is still the same, so we are a step forward and a step sideways on the Perthes journey.  The million dollar question is "When will his hip regenerate?"  Stay tuned...we will shout it from the rooftops when it does.

 The rest of the family also needs hydrotherapy of our own and we recently had the chance to fire up our new backyard hot tub and it brought smiles to all of us.  When I was the first to get out one night, Ashton said, "Mom, you've got to get back in.  It's paradise out here!"  We all feel that way.  (Britt is smiling on the other side of the camera. :)   It's hard to believe this luxury is really ours! If you are having trouble getting a hold of us...it's because we are in the WATER!
