| Good-bye waist cast |
Ashton made it 4 weeks in this cast so everyone was excited to get it removed. Please don't ask him if we kept it...that was NOT an option. Pictures make better memories than odors.
Actually, it held up amazingly well and Ashton didn't even complain about itching until the final 3 nights and then it was unbearable. Getting the cast off was both happy and scary. Ashton felt anxiety that his leg still didn't feel normal and had to come to the realization that the cast was just STAGE 1. Mom and Dad remain scared that the x-rays still reveal a broken leg that is now unprotected. Wish us all luck for STAGE 2...returning to school next week. (Still in a wheel chair for at least 1 month.)
